Our Board of Directors
International Banking Group is a subsidiary of Cayman National, but a significant part of our shares will be held by persons with business or personal links to the TCI. It is also our aim to provide a share ownership opportunity to individuals and smaller shareholders.
Our board will therefore include representatives of Cayman National but will also include shareholders with business or personal links to the TCI. Our board will be able to understand the needs of a small developing island economy and the TCI-specific trends and issues and opportunities.
Confirmed board members are:
John (Jack) Bierley BA, JD
Mr. Bierley is a Florida Bar Board Certified international lawyer based in Tampa where he has practised for 45 years. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a Director of the InterAmerican Bar Association, the Society of International Business Fellows and the University of Florida Foundation. He is also founding Director of the Florida Business BancGroup Inc. and Bay Cities Bank in Tampa, Florida. He was previously a Director of Gulf Bay Bank and Southtrust Bank in Florida. Mr. Bierley is a founding Director of Cayman National.
G. Robert Blanchard Jr.
Mr. Blanchard is Chairman and President of WRB Enterprises, Inc., a diversified holding company and President of Blanchard TCI, Ltd (BTCI) a related holding company in the Turks & Caicos Islands. BTCI has been active in the TCI since the early 1980s and owns and runs a range of businesses including WIV Cable Television, and Turks and Caicos Utilities. WRB also owns controlling interests in Grenada Electricity Services, Ltd., and Dominica Electricity Services, Ltd. Mr. Blanchard is the Chairman of both of those entities. He also is a director of Marpin 2k4, the largest cable television provider on Dominica.
Mr Blanchard also has significant experience in shaping the growth of successful banks, including many years on the boards of directors of a number of large community banks including The Bank of Tampa (assets over $950m) and Centerstate Banks, a NASDAQ listed bank holding company with over $1.75 billion in assets.
Ivan Browne FCIB, FCMI, FMS, FCABFI
Mr. Browne is currently President and Chief Executive of International Banking Group and therefore responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bank. Mr. Browne has over 30 years of banking experience in the region and overseas countries including 28 years at Barclays Bank rising to the level of Regional Director, a further 4 years with FirstCaribbean International Bank, first as a Director on the Integration Team and then as the Corporate Director for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and a Director of FirstCaribbean International Bank (Barbados) Ltd. After leaving FirstCaribbean he oversaw the establishment of Caribbean Union Bank in Antigua. He has served as Chairman of the Bank of Nevis.
His contribution to the regional financial services sector is reflected in his being one of only 8 persons awarded the Inaugural Lifetime Honorary Fellowship by the Caribbean Association of Banking and Financial Institutes.
Stuart Dack ACIB, MBA
Mr. Dack has been the President and Chief Executive of Cayman National Corporation Ltd. since 2004. He entered banking in 1971, and obtained the ACIB qualification with distinction. Mr. Dack worked for the Midland Bank Group in the UK for 22 years where he held a number of managerial roles at branch banking, area and regional levels.
He joined Cayman National as Internal Auditor in 1992 and in 1998 was promoted to Executive Vice President of Cayman National Corporation. In 2001, he was awarded an MBA with Merit from Southampton University. He is also Chairman of Cayman National Bank and of other Cayman National subsidiaries.
Clarence Flowers
Mr. Flowers is the Managing Director of Orchid Development Ltd., and a Director of the Flowers Group and Cayman Water Company. He is a well-respected member of the Cayman Islands business community and has spearheaded several projects in the Cayman Islands, including the construction and management of Cricket Square and Boundary Hall Developments in George Town. He serves as Director on several Cayman National companies.
Nigel Wardle
Nigel Wardle is Vice President of WRB Enterprises Inc. and BTCI. He serves on the Board of Turks and Caicos Utilities, Grenada Electricity Services, Dominica Electricity Services and WIV Cable Television, and is Chairman of Marpin 2k4 in Dominica. Mr. Wardle has held several positions in the Caribbean, including Managing Director of Turks & Caicos Utilities and General Manager of Grenada Electricity Services Ltd shortly after the privatisation of that entity. He served as Chairman of the Caribbean Electricity Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) from 1999 to 2001 and was a Director of CARILEC from 1990 through 2003.
Ormond A. Williams FIFS, FCMI, FCABFI
Mr. Williams is the President and a Director of Cayman National Bank. He is a fellow of the Institute of Financial Services, UK, a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, UK and a fellow of the Caribbean Association of Banking and Financial Institutes. His banking career spans over 28 years, with 21 of these years at Barclays Bank plc where he worked several managerial roles in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Belize and the United Kingdom. He was Executive Vice President of CNB from 2002 to 2003 before taking on the responsibilities as President.
Mr. Williams is an accredited Lay Preacher in the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas and an Elder in the John Gray United Church, Cayman Islands.
